Kilima Peponi is an eco-luxury resort on a private ridge above Kigali: pool cottages, a family villa, gardens and a view that turns a full circle over the land of a thousand hills. Opening soon.
The place
The resort sits on seven hectares of ridge in the Kanyinya hills, 1,800 metres above sea level and ten kilometres from Kigali's centre. To the west the Nyabarongo loops through the valley floor; to the east the city climbs its own hills. Between them, a quiet we are building the whole resort around.
Signature pool cottages, valley cottages, premium pool-access rooms and one grand family villa, each turned towards the view.

A restaurant and bar on the ridge, a health club and step pools, an amphitheatre and gardens for gatherings.

The view
Every cottage faces the valley. In the early morning the mist sits in it like water; by late afternoon the hills behind turn blue, one after another, until they meet the sky.
